This is one member of the 2600 series of smart I/O modules. It controls up to eight RH1B-U mechanical relays. Each relay can switch single-phase power through normally open or normally closed contacts. The 2650’s microcontroller provides I/O services to a remote client such as model 2601. It connects via a category-3 cable that supplies isolated serial communication and microcontroller power. Interlock connectors are used to supply relay coil power. Status indicators Interlocks I/O Modules All I/O modules have on-board DC/DC converters to power module circuitry. This feature helps to prevent ground loops and associated common mode voltage problems when the I/O modules are distributed over long distances. In addition, the inter-module communication circuits are optically isolated so as to eliminate communication ground loops.
Design Assistant Use our design assistant to help you configure a system unique to your specifications and calculate pricing. Field Wiring I/O modules employ two-piece mating connectors for quick connections to all field wiring. External termination boards are not required, as all field wiring connects directly to the I/O modules. This helps to minimize intermediate termination systems and wiring, thereby reducing both material and assembly costs. Mechanical Open-frame design has been applied to all modules in the 2600 family. Field wiring connectors are conveniently located at module edges for easy cable routing into adjacent wiring ducts. This eliminates the expensive module enclosures that are often required by competing products. Software and Manuals Full-featured Windows 98/NT/2000/XP and Linux libraries are available below in the software development kit, along with comprehensive sample programs. A Windows DLL for the 2600 series is provided at no additional cost. It requires the use of a 2601 communication module in addition to the 2650. The Windows 98/NT/2000/XP DLL is a common interface for the entire 2600 series. The SDK includes sample programs for Visual Basic and C++. The source code for these programs show how to use the DLL.
