The 340 is a Legacy product and is not recommended for new designs. The lead time for the 340 may be as long as 12 weeks and may require a minimum quantity order. Please call for availability.
Description
Three PC/104+ peripheral interfaces are built into model 340: USB, Ethernet, and CardBus/PCMCIA. All three use the PC/104+ bus. The PC/104 connector is for passing through
the ISA bus PCMCIA interrupt signals. The 340 requires a CPU that has a PC/104+ bus. Individual peripheral device(s) can be disabled, so as to free slot(s) and INTx(s) from the PC/104+ bus.
CardBus and PCMCIA The PCMCIA interface uses Texas Instruments PCI 1520 between the PC/104+ and the PCMCIA connector. Sensoray-supplied compact flash and wireless Ethernet adaptors are guaranteed to
work in these slots when used with Sensoray’s CPU’s and software. See Table 1 compatibility chart.
USB The 340 has two USB 1.1 ports connected to the PC/104+ bus via an Opti 82C861. It supports data
rates of 1.5 Mbps and 12 Mbps. Sensoray’s 301 CPU running Linux is guaranteed to work with this Opti chip.
Ethernet A 10Base-T/100Base-TX Ethernet port is connected to the PC/104+ bus via an Intel
82C559. Sensoray’s Linux and Windows CE software distribution supports this chip.
Interrupts
Parallel PCI interrupts are available from the PC/104+ bus while ISA interrupts are available from the PC/104 bus for the CardBus/PCMCIA.
Software
Linux drivers are available from Sensoray for model 11b wireless Ethernet
and for standard compact flash memory modules. The 340 is supported as part of models 2411and 2416.
